On September 1st Westview residents participated in an outing to the Braves game at Turner Field! The game was a fundraiser in collaboration with the Atlanta BeltLine. Westview members joined up with fellow NPU-T neigborhood members to have a fun evening outside of the neighborhood.

The community has approved the Westview Master Plan! At the April 4, 2011 Westview Community Organization meeting neighbors moved to approve the plan, followed by Neighborhood Planning Unit T at the April 13, 2011 meeting.
The community is now working with the City of Atlanta’s Planning Department to write legislation to have City Council adopt the plan, which is scheduled to be presented at their June 13, 2011 meeting.

Westview is currently undergoing its master planning process. Residents are encouraged to download the draft master plan and provide feedback by no later than Monday, March 28th, 2011 to info@westviewatlanta.com. The final draft will be voted on at the Westview Community Organization meeting on Monday, April 4, 2011.

In order to cut the city’s budget Mayor Franklin has ordered Firestation Number 7 to close its doors. Our neighbors in West End will now have to rely on the four surrounding stations – this includes Firestation Number 17 that is located in Westview. This move indirectly impacts Westview because our firestation will be required to cover a larger area.
