Community Harvest Dinner

Join Westview neighbors and D Café as we celebrate Community Harvest Dinner on Thursday, November 23rd from 11:00am-2:00pm and 2:00pm – 5:00pm.

EVERYONE is invited to gather for the Community Harvest Dinner for FREE. Additionally, the Westview Community Organization would like to deliver some meals, target those who may be in need, or just simply want a place to gather.

If you can, please consider making a monetary donation to the Westview Community Organization to help us pull this off. You may donate via PayPal by using the WCO PayPal email address info@westviewatlanta.com.

Volunteers are needed to deliver meals & serving. Contact Kendall 404-788-3431 to make a donation or volunteer.

Please note: Liability issues prevent D Cafe from accepting any outside food donations.

National Night Out 2017

Join your neighbors, police, firemen and city officials on Tuesday, August 1st from 6:00pm to 8:00pm for food and public safety awareness! The event will be held 1635 Westwood Avenue (near the intersection of Manson).

HISTORY
National Night Out, ‘America’s Night Out Against Crime,’ was introduced by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) in 1984 to prevent crime, drugs and violence in cities across America. That first year, 400 communities in 23 states participated in National Night Out. Nationwide, 2.5 million Americans took part in 1984. National Night Out now involves over 37 million people and 15,000 communities from all fifty states, U.S. Territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide.

– Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
– Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs;
– Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
– Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

The Westview Community Organization is hosting a “Westview Game Night” at Calvary United Methodist Church. Think Monopoly, Uno, Cards, Chess, Othello, Puzzles, Spades, etc. If you have any games you think people would enjoy playing bring them. There will be prizes and refreshments.

Westview Community Organization Special Meeting

The Westview Community Organization will hold a special meeting on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 7:00-8:00pm at Calvary United Methodist Church (1471 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd) to vote on whether or not to support a change of ownership for the alcohol license at 787 Cascade Ave.

The applicant will be available at the store from 6:15-6:45pm for community members to see renovations and ask any questions before the meeting.
